The Swordsman's Standard

For all of its great moments, season six did not have many of the great duels that we got to enjoy in previous seasons.  Most of the fighting was done against the extras of the Bolton army, and some characters who I had hoped to add to my rankings weren’t shown fighting at all.

Areo Hotah was stabbed in the back, The Blackfish died off screen, Ramsay opted to shoot at Jon rather than duel him, and the waif was killed in the dark.  But there’s still lots of swordplay to analyze.  Aside from an updated tier list, you can also see my thoughts on the aforementioned characters, some major battles, and my thoughts on the much-hyped Cleganebowl below.
